Cheer Up, Titans Are Officially The Best 0-3 Team In History

Tuesday 29 September 2009 @ 3:21 pm

Alright, so the start of the 2009 season has been nothing short of a disaster. We had the best record in football a year ago, and here we sit at 0-3. With a little bit of luck, we could have easily been 3-0. The Titans were picked by many to go to the Super Bowl this season, and I think there are still a lot of experts out there who think it will happen. Turning this thing around shouldn’t be as hard for the Titans, because they actually do have a very good football team. Running off 10 or 11 consecutive wins should not surprise anyone. I dare anyone out there to find a better 0-3 team in the history of the NFL.

Titans vs. Buffalo Bills on November 15 – Many Tickets For Sale

Saturday 19 September 2009 @ 3:33 pm

Cheap cheap cheap tickets for this game against the Bills

The Buffalo Bills will stumble into LP Field on November 15 for a game against the Titans. The Bills acquired Terrell Owens in the offseason, but they also fired their offensive coordinator a week before the season started, which is always a sign of major trouble. Quarterback Trent Edwards will have two deep threats for this game, but I don’t think the Bills young offensive line will be able to hold back the Titans rush long enough for those wide receivers to get deep. End result: Titans win this game by 25 points. Tickets are selling for under $35.

Vince Young Plays Dad For a Day

Thursday 17 September 2009 @ 4:27 pm

Vince Young was very close with Steve McNair. Even before he was drafted by the Titans, Young knew McNair from attending his football camps as a youth. When McNair was gunned down on July 4th, he left behind 4 young sons who will grow into men without the helping hand of a father. On Wednesday, Vince Young did what he could to help out by surprising the 2 younger boys and taking them to their school’s annual Dear Dads Breakfast. In addition to eating pancakes with Tyler and Trenton, who are 5 and 11, respectively, Young also signed autographs and handed out jerseys to the other children.

Vince Young can be a hard man to read sometimes. He’ll seem depressed to the point that his family and friends worry about him, and then he’ll be so confident he’ll talk about making his comeback and someday being enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Maybe it’s a mental illness, or maybe it’s just too much pressure from the spotlight, but what Young did on Wednesday should show us all that he’s still a human being with real feelings and a desire to do right by others. I hope he does find his way back to a starting spot and wish him all the best in his quest for Canton.

Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars on November 1 – Tickets Available

Tuesday 15 September 2009 @ 3:25 pm

Get cheap tickets for the Jags game here

The Titans will finally get a break in their schedule when they play the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 1. Actually, it’s not really that much of a break. The Jaguars are projected to finish last in the division this season, but it’s a pretty darn good division. They’re still better than about half the teams in the AFC. Don’t be fooled if the Jags come into this game with a poor record, as their first half schedule is almost as brutal as the Titans. Tickets for this game can be found for under $40 for the really cheap seats.

Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts – October 11

Friday 11 September 2009 @ 3:21 pm

Still need tickets for this game?

There’s no denying the fact that the first half of the Titans schedule is absolutely brutal. If we come away 5-3 at the midway point we’ll be in prime position to take the division title. The Titans second home game of the season is against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts on October 11. The Colts have a minor offensive line issue but other than that they are built for a Super Bowl run. This will probably be one of the more challenging games for the Titans this season. Tickets are reselling for about double the usual cost, which means $65 or more for cheap seats.

Titans Score Just 10 Points In Loss To Steelers

Friday 11 September 2009 @ 11:18 am

The Titans offense scored just 10 points as they couldn’t handle the Pittsburgh Steelers pressure packages on Thursday night in a 13-10 overtime loss. The lowly 10 points are made worse by the fact that the Steelers were without Troy Polamalu for the entire second half of the game after he went down with an MCL sprain. Kerry Collins looked good at times, but it seemed like their were 15 Steelers defenders on the field on any given play. 6 or 7 were always in the backfield, and the rest were out in coverage. The Titans either need to shore up their pass protection or they need to find a way to incorporate Vince Young’s legs into this offense to keep teams from just gunning up the middle for the QB.

Titans vs. Houston Texans on September 20

Wednesday 9 September 2009 @ 2:35 pm

Buy cheap tickets within 3 days of game day

The Titans will get a visit from the inhabitants of their former home, the Houston Texans, on September 20th for the first game at LP Field this season. The Texans have a great linebacker in Brian Cushing, but their defense still had major issues in the preseason. The “experts” are predicting a so-so season for the Texans, and they’ll struggle to win 8 games. The Titans, on the other hand, should be one of the top teams in the AFC and will probably not only win their division but vie for home field advantage in the playoffs. This will be one of the Titans few home games in the first part of the season, and it should be a nice win to hold us over until the second half.
