It looks like there’s a very good chance that the stars could align in the Seahawks favor on April 25th and they could end up with exactly the player they need: high-impact wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Crabtree was a dominating force on Texas Tech’s high-power offense, and he’s the type of wide receiver the Seahawks haven’t seen in years. Usually I would not favor picking a receiver with a 1st round pick (ask Matt Millen), but in this case it fills an obvious hole in the Seahawks offense. This guy’s YAC numbers are amazing, already drawing comparisons to Larry Fitzgerald (I’m not quite that optimistic). Either way, look for Crabtree to make a difference in the Seahawk’s offense from day one.
Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was found passed out in a car at an intersection near Atlanta. Police investigated and found marijuana in his possession. He will face misdemeanor charges. Hill is one of the Seahawks leading tacklers and will become an unrestricted free agent following the conclusion of the football season. The Seahawks were likely going to franchise him, but we’ll have to wait and see how they react to this incident.
The Seahawks have been on a hiring rampage this week. They picked up Casey Bradley as their defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn as their defensive line coach after hiring Greg Knapp as their offensive coordinator last week.
