The 49ers final home game of the regular season will come against the lowly Detroit Lions on December 17. The Lions were one of the worst teams in football history last season, failing to win even a single game. They won’t be much better this year, as they drafted a quarterback who doesn’t have any blocking or even a good crew of receivers to throw to. Maybe he’ll just throw the ball to himself. Matthew Stafford is not going to turn the Lions into winners, and at best he leads them to 2 wins this season, and this game won’t be one of them. The Lions are one of the oldest teams in football, despite the fact that they are perpetually rebuilding. How the heck do they manage that? Tickets for this game are reselling at about $25 – $50 apiece.
