For those of you who haven’t been paying attention to cellphone news in the past month or so, the popular RAZR is going to be getting a sequel. The RAZR 2 has two QVGA screens, and I’m told they look fantastic. Several other components have been upgraded, I’ll have more on that later. Expected retail price is around $500, which should allow it to compete well with the bulkier but more enhanced Apple iPhone.
I found this interesting article (see link below) comparing the Motorola KRZR and the RAZR V3i. These phones are among the most popular in the United States, but most people do not know the differences between them and why they might want to purchase one instead of the other.
I think the main difference in these phones is the features. Buy the RAZR if you’re into music and you already use iTunes. Buy the KRZR if you want a phone with a decent camera. To tell you the truth, I think most people would be better off with the KRZR. I see a lot more people taking pictures with their phone than listening to music. People would rather use an iPod with a larger storage drive for their music collection.
