You still have time to buy tickets for the first game of the NFL season


The Titans will visit the Steelers on Thursday, September 10 to start the 2009 NFL season. The Steelers will be defending their Super Bowl championship against this key divisional opponent. This game will be televised nationally, but it’s not the same as being there with the excited crowd that has been waiting 8 months to welcome back their Steelers and thank them for the efforts last season. Let’s hope that our team is healthy by that time, as this game is just a couple weeks away. Tickets for this one are selling in the $60 – $100 range, or much more if you actually want good tickets down near the field.

Forget about all the distractions surrounding Big Ben concerning that frivolous lawsuit, has anyone else noticed that he’s looking a little fat this preseason? I mean, I realized he’s been celebrating a Super Bowl championship for the past 6 months, but I think he may have gone a little far. He looks about 30 pounds heavier than the last time I saw him out of uniform and about 15 years older. I hope he didn’t spend his offseason on the same diet as I’m on: cream puffs and cigarettes. He seriously looks like he spent his night crawling through the red light district and then tried to eat all the prepared donuts at the local Krispy Kreme.
