Sports Illustrated has posted their early draft predictions, and they’ve got Jason Smith going to the Eagles with the 20th pick in the 1st round. I think it would be a great deal for the Eagles if Smith sticks around this long (I think he could easily go in the top 15), and if the opportunity strikes, the Eagles should grab him. Smith is a big offensive tackle out of Baylor. The Eagles already have some big guys on their offensive line, but it’s also a very old line and several of those guys are headed towards free agency. There’s no better time than the present to invest in the future by picking up some young blocking talent with fresh knees.
