Things got off to a rough start for the A’s tonight. Dana Eveland gave up 3 runs in the top of the first inning, but the A’s offense responded by striking back with 5 runs in the bottom half of the inning against Red Sox starter Daisuke Matsuzaka. Dice-K now carries an ERA over 12.00 on the season.

There has been no scoring since the 1st inning and the score currently stands at 5-3 in favor of the Athletics in the 4th inning.
