Without a long term deal, Jets running back Leon Washington will probably not be reporting to the SUNY Cortland campus for Jets training camp by the July 30 deadline for veteran players. Washington had a pro bowl season last year and is looking to increase his salary from $535,000 to around $6 million a year.

The NFL has suspended Jets linebacker Calvin Pace 4 games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. No word yet on which drug he ingested, but since this is the No Fun League we’re talking about it was probably some common pill that everyone takes but is for some reason banned, like orange-flavored Flintstones vitamins (ok, I’m half-joking about that one).
