Eli Manning to David Tyree in Tecmo Super Bowl

Wednesday 14 October 2009 @ 8:11 pm

Relive Super Bowl XLII again with this amazing recreation of the Eli Manning to David Tyree 4th down completion that kept the final drive alive for the Giants. I’m not sure how someone managed to do this in Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES, but I’m sure they have way too much time on their hands.

Quarter Season Report: Giants Ranked #2 In Power Rankings

Tuesday 6 October 2009 @ 10:03 pm

One quarter of the season is over, and the Giants are doing as well as anyone could have expected. They’re 4-0 despite a number of injuries, and they currently have the number 2 spot in ESPN’s Power Rankings, behind the Colts. Eli Manning suffered plantar fasciitis in Sunday’s game, which is the type of nagging injury that could affect his play in upcoming weeks. Overall the Giants are still looking like one of the dominating teams in football, and if they can get a healthy team together by the end of the season they could be looking at 2007-2008 all over again.

Madden Sim: Giants Win Big

Saturday 3 October 2009 @ 7:35 pm

A Madden video game simulation has predicted a big Giants win this week over the Chiefs. Of course, we don’t really need a video game to tell us that. The Giants are one of the top teams in the NFL, and the Chiefs have been bottom feeders for the past decade. Final score in Madden: Giants 23 – Chiefs 3. I think it’s probably more likely to be 45 – 0, with the way the Giants defense has been functioning despite injuries.
