Sports Illustrated’s early mock draft is predicting the Vikings will take Vanderbilt cornerback D.J. Moore with their 22nd overall pick in the 1st round. The Vikings are really looking for a quarterback, but their chances of finding one of the top college QB’s at this point in the draft are slim to nil. D.J. Moore is a talented cornerback with enough speed to stick with most NFL wide receivers. At 5′10″ and 185 pounds, he’ll need to use his speed to overcome his size disadvantage.
Would you like a job with an annual salary in the millions of dollars? Do you have 2 or more years of experience playing quarterback at the pro level? If so, you might be qualified for the Vikings quarterback opening. The Vikings already have Tarvaris Jackson, but they are looking for other options at a position they’ve struggled to satisfactorily fill in the past few years. One possibility seemed to be Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel, but with Tom Brady’s knee condition not healing as quickly as the Patriots had hoped, it appears that the Pats will look to hold on to Cassel.
