Twins Strike Out 13 Times Against Verlander, Still Win

Tigers starter Justin Verlander struck out a career high 13 Twins batters today, but a shocking 6 run 7th inning was all the Twins needed to beat Detroit by a final of 6-5. Craig Breslow got credit for the win while Joe Nathan pitched a scoreless 9th for the save.

My spin on this game: Joe Mauer had another good game today, and he’s really been turning it on lately. A lot of people are beginning to regret not taking him sooner in their fantasy league drafts. He’s hitting .455 on the season.
