did not do very well at the box office. This is one of those
cult classics that spread beyond the cult and into the mainstream.
I know of children born in the '90s who consider this one of
their favorite films. 16 years after it was in theaters The
Goonies finally got a DVD release. It was not released as a
"special edition," but believe me, it is. The movie
is included exactly as you remember it, but this DVD has so
