are so many things to love about The Evil Dead. It was a film
made by some unknowns with very little money, and yet it remains
a cult classic. Contrast this with The Blair Witch Project,
which was also made with unknowns with no money, but is largely
forgotten. The Evil Dead is not a movie based on hype. The talents
may not have been recognizable when it was originally released,
but they are now. People were so impressed by Sam Raimi's directorial
work that they now let him make huge "sure thing"
blockbusters. The special edition version of The Evil Dead was
released in 2002 and it is called The Book of the Dead Limited
Edition. You'll be lucky if you can find one of these on Ebay.
