Terminator 2 DVD Review

Long before Titanic made James Cameron a household name in Hollywood and made critics weep at the stupidity of the American movie ticket-buying audience, there was Terminator 2: Judgement Day. James Cameron was not yet known for spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a film that will only be remembered as a should-have-been-a-flop-but-for-some-reason-became-a-phenomenon. Ok, I'll get off the Titanic trip. It just really bugs me. Terminator 2 was nothing like the original. Where Terminator had been dirty and gritty Terminator 2 was glossy and shiny. This was Arnold's movie. History will forget about that whole governor of California thing, but it will remember T2. Oh, and by the way, the Extreme Edition DVD, which I'm supposedly reviewing right now, is pretty sweet. It was released in 2003 and leaves all other Terminator 2 DVDs in the dust. You should have watched this DVD instead of seeing T3 for the first time. Oh, to think of what your life could have been, if you had only made the right choices.

Terminator 2
Look at these incredible prices on Terminator 2 DVDs. What's that? You're not an Ebay member! Perhaps it's time to crawl out of that cave and into the 21st century. Register as an Ebay member now. Of course it's free! It boggles my mind when I see people pay retail for items they can get on Ebay for 80% less.

You get several versions of the movie here, and there are plenty of extras like commentary and pop-up trivia (which I insist every DVD release should have). The visuals and sound are both splendid, so go ahead and play it on your 52" with the 38 speaker surround sound theater.
