The Movie was the first comic book-based movie that didn't stink.
Unfortunately it is still plagued by the sequels that were among
the worst movies ever made by Hollywood. I think I'd rather
watch From Justin to Kelly than be forced to waste 1 1/2 hours
watching any of the Superman sequels. Anyway, let's get on with
this review of the Special Edition DVD. The reason this DVD
was so great for Superman fans was that it offered the only
good Superman movie on a format that had decent quality video
and audio. Anyone that owns the VHS or even the Beta copy of
this film knows how horrible the copy is. I've got better quality
video taping the scrambled channels on low quality mode while
my cat chewed off the antennae on my rabbit ears. |
