what can be said about Lord of the Rings that hasn't been said
already? From the high production value, to the incredible source
material (Tolkien's writing is far more sophisticated and yet
more readable than any version of the Bible) these are the movies
that made all other movies of the early 21st century look like
crap. Of course, these movies are not for everyone. Some people
just can't relate to stories of hobbits and middle Earth. Those
people are all 6'5" tall and live on... well, regular Earth.
I guess there are plenty of them, but there are also many rabid
fans of all three of the Lord of the Rings movies. Those people
should consider buying the Extended Edition DVDs of each movie.
While the originals were a mere 3 hours long each, the extended
editions will continue playing long after you're dead. |
