E.T. The Extra Terrestrial DVD Review

In 2002, one of the greatest movies of all time, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, got special edition DVD treatment with a 3-Disc Collector's Edition Set. This is the package for people that want to see the movie as they originally saw it in theaters, not the way it looked after Steven Spielberg "enhanced" it and "made it look better." George Lucas could learn a thing or two (or a dozen) from his buddy. If you're going to mess with a film, at least give fans the opportunity to see it as it originally was. For history's sake.

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Look at these incredible prices on E.T. The Extra Terrestrial DVDs. What's that? You're not an Ebay member! Perhaps it's time to crawl out of that cave and into the 21st century. Register as an Ebay member now. Of course it's free! It boggles my mind when I see people pay retail for items they can get on Ebay for 80% less.

There are 3 discs, so of course there are going to be extras, besides the 2 versions of the film. There are some enhancements, if you're into that kind of thing, and of course commentary and such. It's a pretty impressive package for a pretty impressive movie. And remember, this will always be Drew Barrymore's best film, or at least as long as she keeps acting with Adam Sandler and the like.
