Dark City DVD Review

Dark City is one of the more over-looked Sci-Fi films of all-time. It has the existential philosophy found in The Matrix and Cube, but it presents it much better. While The Matrix dumbed itself down for the masses (hmmm, sort of ironic given its content), Dark City draws upon its earlier film influence, Fritz Lang's Metropolis (the masterpiece of the silent film era, not the cheap anime crap), to give you a story that is both familiar and original.

Look at these incredible prices on Dark City DVDs. What's that? You're not an Ebay member! Perhaps it's time to crawl out of that cave and into the 21st century. Register as an Ebay member now. Of course it's free! It boggles my mind when I see people pay retail for items they can get on Ebay for 80% less.

The New Line Platinum Series DVD has some great extras. The most important of these is Roger Ebert's commentary track. Students planning to major in film in college should be required to watch Dark City with Ebert's commentary. It really is that important.
