Daredevil DVD Review

Can a great DVD release make up for a mediocre movie? The Daredevil DVD will answer that question. Put simply, no it can't. Daredevil was perhaps the worst of the comic book based movies to be released in the past few years, and there have been quite a few. Some people blame the script (Director Mark Steven Johnson wrote the screenplay), but I do not think that's fair. I blame the casting director. We all need to come to terms with the fact that Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and Colin Farrell are terrible actors. I know, you can't believe I'm knocking some of Hollywood's biggest A-list celebrities. Deal with it. Ben Affleck gave great performances in exactly 2 movies: Good Will Hunting and Dazed and Confused. Compare those performances with anything else he has done and you'll see how he has failed. Jennifer Garner is a star on TV because she's not talented enough to star in good movies. Colin Farrell had absolutely nothing going for him besides his good looks. He can't act, he can't talk, he can't even be civil. Put this lack of acting talent together and you've got one sloppy movie that only lesser talents like BA, JG, and CF would not be ashamed of.

Look at these incredible prices on Daredevil DVDs. What's that? You're not an Ebay member! Perhaps it's time to crawl out of that cave and into the 21st century. Register as an Ebay member now. Of course it's free! It boggles my mind when I see people pay retail for items they can get on Ebay for 80% less.

If you remember back to the start of my review, I did mention that the DVD of this movie was quite impressive. I was not lying. If just about any other movie were to have a DVD package this impressive (especially considering it is not even a special edition) it would almost certainly be on my top 10 DVDs list. That said, this is Daredevil.
