Black Hawk Down DVD Review

Black Hawk Down may not be the best war movie (it does have some stiff competition), but the Deluxe Edition DVD is one of the better war movie DVDs ever made. Based on a US Military operation in Somalia in 1993, the movie shows the high cost of underestimating an enemy. I still consider the whole mission in Somalia to be the biggest blunder of the Clinton administration. All things considered, many other presidents have done much worse. Politics aside, this movie could have been a lot better. Josh Hartnett is... well, Josh Hartnett. Have you ever seen a great movie he was in? I didn't think so. The action is pretty intense, and it demands that you turn the volume (especially the base) all the way up.

Look at these incredible prices on Black Hawk Down DVDs. What's that? You're not an Ebay member! Perhaps it's time to crawl out of that cave and into the 21st century. Register as an Ebay member now. Of course it's free! It boggles my mind when I see people pay retail for items they can get on Ebay for 80% less.

The Deluxe Edition DVD offers a ton of bonus features. Everyone gets a commentary track, including my grandma. It was nice to hear her voice again, because I usually only see her around Christmas time. She kept talking about how those soldiers could use some fresh cookies and cold milk, which I thought was nice. Seriously though, this 3-disc set will tell you everything you wanted to know about the movie and the real-life mission it was based on.
