Browns Hall of Famer Dante Lavelli Passes Away

Hall of Fame wide receiver Dante Lavelli died yesterday at the age of 85. Lavelli was a key member of the Browns teams that dominated the 1940’s and 1950’s. He was a close friend and preferred target of Browns quarterback Otto Graham. In addition to the talents he brought to the playing field, Lavelli also helped develop the players union, after he and several other Browns players insisted that they should not have to pay for their own uniforms and they should get money for food on road trips.
