Bengals vs. Steelers Tickets – September 27

Wednesday 5 August 2009 @ 12:57 pm

See available Bengals v. Steelers tickets

The Bengals square off against their interstate rivals, the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, on September 27 at Paul Brown Stadium. Ticket prices on the secondary market are about average for a Bengals home game, which surprises me considering this is the Steelers and the Bengals are going to upset them. I see some cheap seats for under $50, with some of the good seats selling on online auctions for under $200.

Bengals vs. Broncos Tickets – September 13 – Opening Day!

Friday 24 July 2009 @ 6:09 pm

See available tickets for the Bengals/Broncos game

Ahh, there’s nothing like football in the fall in Cincinnati. The Bengals kick off their season with a home game against the Denver Broncos on 9/13. Even though it’s opening day, I’ve found plenty of tickets for under $60. The nice seats in the upper corner 300 level are selling for around $1,000. Yeah, that’s pretty expensive, but I’m pretty sure that’s about what a parking spot costs at a Jets game. The Bengals don’t have the cheapest seats in football, but they’re pretty darn close.

Bengals Named 3rd Worst Franchise

Tuesday 30 June 2009 @ 7:24 pm

Here’s something to motivate Bengals players this season: The Big Lead has named the Bengals the 3rd worst franchise in all of football, ahead of only the Lions and the Browns. The Bengals have made the playoffs 1 time since 1991, and they’ve been near the bottom of the league most of the rest of the time. They’re averaging about 6 felony arrests and 5 wins per season during that time. I think it’s time Bengals fans said enough is enough and stop supporting players who aren’t supporting our team and put pressure on management to jumpstart this franchise with quality players who won’t be a distraction. I don’t want to read this list next and see our team at the very bottom.

SI Mock Draft: Bengals Take Brian Orakpo

Tuesday 27 January 2009 @ 2:32 pm

Sports Illustrated has posted their first mock draft since the end of the playoffs, and they’ve got the Bengals getting a real steal with their 6th overall pick in the 1st round. They are projecting Brian Orakpo from Texas will be taken by the Bengals. Orakpo was the top defensive player in college football last season. He won the Lombardi Award for best lineman and the Nagurski Trophy for top defensive player.  He can play defensive end or linebacker, but will probably line up as the former with the Bengals. This man is a sack machine who will add some power to the Bengals pass rush from week one. SportsCenter did a profile on him that you’ve got to watch:

Bengals To Get Good Look At Prospects At Senior Bowl

Thursday 8 January 2009 @ 10:25 pm

The Bengals and Jaguars’ coaching staffs have been selected to coach this year’s Senior Bowl. It will be the first time the Bengals staff has had a chance to coach some of the best college players since they were selected in 2004. Marvin Lewis has said that coaching that game really helped his staff discover what talents they wanted to pursue in the NFL Draft.

Carson Palmer Won’t Need Surgery

Thursday 8 January 2009 @ 12:35 pm

An MRI yesterday revealed Bengals QB Carson Palmer will not need surgery on his ailing right elbow. Palmer should be ready for offseason workouts with the Bengals. The 4-12 Bengals will need Palmer at near full strength next season if they want to turn around the organization, which took nearly half the season before winning their first game this year.
