Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has died following a domestic dispute with his fiancee. No charges have been filed. Henry was just 26 years old.

Chris Henry Suffers Life Threatening Injuries

Bengals receiver Chris Henry suffered life threatening injuries when he was thrown from a pickup truck following a domestic dispute. It seems that Henry climbed into the back of the truck following an argument with his fiance as she was driving off. They continue to argue, and at some point Henry fell out of the truck. I wonder if she might have driven erratically in an attempt to throw him from the truck. I really wonder.

Henry has been inactive since November 8th following a broken arm.

The Chiefs are always a much better team at home where their fans are recognized as among the loudest in football, so let’s get out there and show them how we do it in Cincinnati. No matter how good or bad a year they’re having, the Chiefs are always a team that deserves a good trouncing. Tickets for this game are slightly lower than normal on the resale market, but that could change. Ticket prices for home finales are always volatile depending on what the team does in the final month of the season.

The Lions come to Cincinnati on December 6 in what will likely be the Bengals biggest blowout win of the season. Usually I’d feel bad for a team that has been as bad as the Lions over the past decade, but frankly speaking, they deserve it. They’ve written the textbook on the worst way to build a football franchise. They continue to draft high-priced offensive skill position players in top 5 overall draft spots without ever making a real effort to improve the base of any football team: the offensive and defensive lines. The Bengals should crush the Lions in this game, and I won’t feel sorry if they do. I hope their #1 overall draft pick from this past offseason offers his team enough moral support from the bench to get them through these tough times. Tickets for this game are selling lightly on the secondary market, so you can probably see the Bengals play something similar to an NFL franchise in the Detroit Lions for cheaper than you’ll see any other Bengals home game this season.

The Bengals are one fluke play away from being one of the 5 undefeated teams in the NFL, but the experts still don’t believe they’re for real. ESPN has them ranked #11 in their weekly power rankings. We’ll accept going unnoticed for now, because the more we’re overlooked the better we’ll do. I can’t wait to hear what Chad Ochocinco will have to say to all the talking heads when the Bengals go into the playoffs.

A Madden simulation has predicted the Bengals will beat the Browns this week by a score of 24 – 20. Carson Palmer threw for over 300 yards and 3 scores, 2 of them going to Chad Ochocinco, who had over 100 yards receiving on the day.

The Ravens head northwest to play the Bengals on November 8 in what’s sure to be a hard-hitting affair. This is a regular Sunday 1:00pm game and should be a sell-out. Secondary ticket prices have been relatively low, with some nosebleeds available for under $45. If you really want to treat yourself, you can find some lower level tickets for under $200. The Bengals will not have another home game until after Thanksgiving at the end of the month.

The Chicago Bears make a visit to Paul Brown Stadium on October 25. There’s a little bit more interest than usual in this game as far as ticket sales go as the teams are from the same general region of the country and there’s a mix of the Bears fan base in what I consider Bengals territory. The Bears are always one of those teams that thinks they’re more important than they really are. They’re still bragging about that Super Bowl they won almost 25 years ago. If that championship was a dog it would be long dead by now.

Woo Hoo, The Bengals Aren’t The Biggest Week 1 Chokers

The Bengals may have failed to knock a ball down with triple coverage on a receiver and given up a 87-yard pass play for the game-winning touchdown, but the Choke of the Week still has to go to the Buffalo Bills, who blew an 11-point lead with less than 3 minutes left in the game against the Patriots. The Bengals lost because they were unlucky; the Bills lost because they were stupid. After giving up a touchdown, their return man decided to run back a kick instead of just kneeling on it in the end zone. Apparently nobody told him that the desperate Patriots would be trying to strip the ball from him, and when he coughed it up he robbed his team of a chance to burn some precious time off the clock and probably at least 2 of the Patriots time outs.
