The White Sox bats were asleep last night, managing just 2 hits on the ball game, but Chicago still managed to beat the Seattle Mariners by a score of 2-1. Paul Konerko drove in the two runs for the ChiSox and Bartolo Colon pitched one of his best games in years, giving up just 4 hits and a walk in 7 innings of work. Bobby Jenks came in for the 9th inning and picked up the save. Ken Griffey Jr. had one of the 4 hits for the Mariners, going 1 for 4 and pushing his average up to .196, just a hit shy of the Mendoza line. There’s a reason he remains a free agent in my fantasy league.
