White Sox Lose Second Game of Doubleheader

After Bartolo Colon and the White Sox finished off the Mariners in under 2 hours in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday, they were trounced 9-1 in the second game. Felix Hernandez of the M’s threw 8 innings of shutout ball and John Danks had his first poor performance of the season in taking the loss. Russell Branyon had the first 5-hit game of his career. In fact, he’d never even had a 4 hit game before facing the White Sox last night. There’s something we can be proud of.

There’s not much use highlighting any White Sox players for this game, because nobody really played well. Paul Konerko was the White Sox player of the game with a 2 for 4 performance, but he was also DH. I’m sure if he’d played the field he would have found a way to make an error that would have made this a 12-1 game.
