Konerko, Dye Hit 300th HRs In Consecutive At-Bats

The White Sox had a big day at the plate as they rolled over the Detroit Tigers, 10-6. Carlos Quentin had 2 home runs and went 4 for 4, but the real story of the day has to be Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye. The pair hit the 300th home runs of their respective careers in consecutive at bats. According to the all-knowing Elias Sports Bureau, this was the first time that two players hit century milestone homers of 300 or greater in the same game.

Gavin Floyd did not pitch very well, but we’ll give him a temporary pass as long as the Sox starting lineup is producing this kind of offense.
