Mercedes Benz has the proud distinction of being the oldest production car company in the world. The first production car, the Benz Velo, was made in 1894, the same year Babe Ruth was born. The Mercedes Benz name now stands for luxury and top-of-the-line engineering, except on the SUV models, where the name stands for shotty workmanship and constant electrical problems. Oh well, at least some of their cars are still nice.
