Panthers v. Saints, January 3, 2010 tickets
The Panthers ring in the new year and end their regular season on January 3 against the Saints. Tickets for this game at Bank of America Stadium are starting in the $50-$60 range, but that will fluctuate up or down depending on how the Panthers do the rest of the season and whether or not this particular game means anything to either team. When was the last time a game meant anything to the Saints?

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the Panthers house, the Vikings were getting their butts kicked, and their QB was a louse. The Panthers will play their second-to-last home game of the season on 12/20 as they take on the Minnesota Vikings. At the time of this writing there are still tickets available on online for under $50, but you might want to hurry, as these tickets will likely get bought up to be used as early Christmas gifts.

The Buccaneers will swagger into Bank of America Stadium on December 6th, and they’ll most likely be drunk and thinking they can walk all over us. Instead, the Panthers will hit them so hard they’ll surrender and dissolve the franchise. Well, at least that’s what I’d like to see happen. I hate the Bucs more than I hate child abusers or people who kick puppies for fun. You can still find tickets for this game for under $60 at the moment, but that could change if Bucs fans start migrating north and try to buy them up in the final weeks before the game. Why can’t Georgia build a fence at the Florida border?

The Dolphins and their crazy offense come into our home turf on November 19 for a Thursday night game. Kickoff should be around 8:20. I’m seeing some tickets for this game selling in the $50 range, but the higher end stuff is really hot, possibly because it’s a night game and people want to have a luxurious night off, get plastered, then skip work on Friday. Seems like a good plan to me. A 14 seat luxury box for this game is selling in the $9000 range.
See available tickets for the Panthers/Falcons game on 11/15 here
The Falcons come to town to get chewed up and spit out by the Panthers on November 15. Ticket prices on the “black” market are about the lowest you’ll find for a Panthers game all season, with some even below $55. If you really want to enjoy yourself there are club level and luxury box tickets out there on places like StubHub and eBay. The Panthers next home game after this will be just 4 days later, when they play a Thursday night game against the Dolphins.

The Buffalo Bills will make a rare trip into Bank of America Stadium to get their tails whipped by the Panthers on October 25. This is a Sunday game but with a 4:05 start time. It will be the only Panthers home game starting at 4:05 this season. Tickets are selling relatively cheap for this game on the resale market, and I see a lot available in the $50-$75 range. That could change in the weeks leading up to the game, depending on the Panthers record at that time, so you might want to get your ticket orders in early.
I’ve seen a lot of discussions about Jake Delhomme this week on the NFL forums, and most are asking if there are any worse quarterbacks playing in the National Football League right now. I’m inclined to say “no”. Not only did he have a terrible opening day, but he had a terrible preseason to go with it. When Delhomme puts the ball in the air, it seems to just go into random hands. It might be a Panther who catches it, it might be a defender. Nobody knows, not even Jake Delhomme. Matt Moore deserves to start next week, if for no other reason than the fact that he can’t be worse than Jake Delhomme.

After spending nearly a month away from home, the Panthers return to face the Washington Redskins on October 11. There are still plenty of tickets available on the secondary market in the $75 – $100 range. If you really want to splurge, there’s a 14 person luxury suite with 4 parking passes and optional catering for about $9,000. It’s a bit pricey, but a luxury suite would make for a great get-together with old friends or a faux-business meeting on the company dime (is that tax deductible for a business?).
Here’s a great clip of DeAngelo Williams making the Miami Dolphins defense look like fools. Watch the moves he puts on them as they fail to wrap him up on this 25 yard touchdown run:

The Carolina Panthers kick off their season with a home game at Bank of America Stadium on September 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles. This game will have the usual Sunday 1:00pm start time. Tickets for this game are selling for less than I would have expected at the moment. I’ve found a few of the cheaper seats available for under $80. Group-ticket luxury suite packages are selling in the $3000 range, which is a pretty good deal if you’ve got a large group of people going, and at this time of year it makes a great destination for a family reunion.
