I was watching a special on the history of the Corvette last night on the Speed Channel, so I felt it would be appropriate to post a Corvette video today. This is just a walkaround of a 1957 Corvette. This is my favorite color scheme on available on this car, the black with the red inlays on the side and red interior.
I don’t care what Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson says about it, I think the Ferrari F50 is a beautiful and refined car. He prefers the rough-around-the-edges F40. To me, the F50 was a great leap forward from a design perspective. The Enzo feels like a minor touch-up of the F50 compared to that. Anyway, if Jeremy Clarkson happens to have a couple of these lying around that he doesn’t want anymore, send them over my way! Check out the video:
Here’s a great video of the Ferrari FXX doing laps around the race track. The FXX is a racing version of the Ferrari Enzo. This car is definately not for people who enjoy a quiet interior. The engine screams every time the driver presses down on the accelerator. If beauty can be expressed in sound, this is it.
This may make some sports car fanatics cringe. A speed bump was installed by the Dubai government to slow down drivers on a street popular with speed freaks. My guess is they’ll learn to slow down pretty quickly, especially the Lamborghini Gallardo that comes in at the end at what appears to be 70+ mph and flies through the air for about 100 feet or so.

I found this great commercial for the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Apparently this car was made before they had invented a way to steady a video camera, because it’s a lot more shaky than a first-person tape of the kid jumping on a trampoline. At least the car looks great as it races down some deserted highway. I wish there were open stretches of road like that in my area.

This video might make many car nuts sick. You’ve been warned. A 14-year-old kid borrows the keys to his dad’s brand new 2007 Mustang Eleanor, a $50,000 car. See what happens when it becomes apparent that a manual shift is a little harder to work than he thought. Oh man, I’d feel so bad if it weren’t obvious these people are loaded.
