Bills cornerback will probably sit out tomorrow’s game against the Buccaneers with back spasms. While he was lounging around nursing his injury, he inked a multi-year deal with the Bills. Now we can have him sitting around and not playing for years to come. McGee was a pro bowler… 4 years ago. He’s 3 feet tall and specializes in covering wide receivers from the chest down.
I know many of you are upset right now, but let’s try to be peaceful and move on. Leodis McKelvin made a mistake, and he’ll probably never make that same mistake again. It was one game, and this is a long season. If anything, we found out we are not the losers everyone thought we were at 6:30 on Monday night. We can compete with the Patriots, in their house. I’m sure the Bills team is very motivated to get back on the field and do something constructive, like destroy Tampa Bay this week in Buffalo. There are 15 games to go, and if we can win 10 of them we’ll have a good shot at making the playoffs. The Patriots still have to play us at Ralph Wilson, Miami looks weaker this year, and the Jets have a rookie at quarterback. Let’s go support are team and see what they can do this year.
What do you call a team that can blow an 11 point lead with less than 8 minutes to go in the game? The Buffalo Bills, of course. Is there ever a Bills Monday night game that doesn’t end with them losing in devastating fashion. This week’s goat was Leodis McKelvin, who decided to run a kickoff out of the end zone with the hands team blocking for him instead of just taking a knee. When he was stripped of the ball at about the 30 yard line, it was obvious to all Bills fans the Patriots were going to score the game-winning TD and the Bills were going to return to Buffalo with an 0 and 1 record. This game really made me sick.
I’ve been reading a lot of complaints this weekend on the NFL forums about the uneven matchups on the Monday Night Games. I don’t about the Chargers-Raiders late game, but right now I’m watching Bills vs. Patriots and the Bills are up 4 points with less than 8 minutes to go. The Patriots might have been favored by 11 points, but they are not going to be winning this game by 11 points. You know what they say: that’s why they play the game!
The Bills have given out parts of their game plan for their opening Monday night game against the Patriots, and the shocking part is that they are planning to run a no-huddle offense for the entire game. This just doesn’t make sense. The Patriots have a high-powered offense, and we’re going to give them more chances with the ball? The Bills offense is out-of-sync, and we’re going to be speeding things up? If they follow through on this game plan, the Patriots will have 7 or 8 interceptions tonight and the Patriots will drop 40 or 50 points on the Bills in front of a national audience.
Dick Jauron, I liked you from the start, but your days are numbered. It will be a miracle if you’re still with the Bills in November.
Tickets for Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns – October 11, 2009
The Buffalo Bills return home to host the Cleveland Browns on October 11 in week 5. There are still thousands of tickets available on the resale market for $40 – $1000 online. I’ve found some very good seats that are still for sale for what I consider a very reasonable price.
Who will have the first pick in next year’s draft? Well, according to Bill Simmons of ESPN.com, it’s going to be the Bills. Simmons picks the Bills to finish last in the NFL with a 2-14 record. 2 wins? 2 frickin’ wins, Bill? He’s got the Lions finishing with 2 more wins than us. I know the situation in Buffalo doesn’t look good right now, but I would hope we can pull off more than 2 wins this season. Even Sports Illustrated has us winning 6. We’ve managed 7 wins for the past 3 seasons, so are we really that much worse this season that we’re going to be seeing a 5 win drop? I sure hope not.
We’re 10.5 point dogs to the Patriots on Monday night. Fantastic.

The really good seats are also available for this game ranging up to $1250 if you really want to be pampered with great views and service.

Bills vs. Bucs Tickets – 9/20/09
Former Bills running back Travis Henry was sentenced to 3 years in prison on Tuesday for drug trafficking. Henry has pretty much been a disgrace to humanity for the past 5 years. Aside from the drug using/dealing, he’s also fathered children with 9 different women. Stay classy, Travis, and don’t knock up any of those female prison guards!
