Buy Ravens/Bears tickets – December 20 – Final Home Game
The Ravens will play their final home game of the regular season on December 20 against the Chicago Bears, a non-conference match-up that I’m sure is disappointing to some Ravens fans who would rather see a key divisional rival come into Baltimore during that part of the season. Well, maybe fans aren’t too disappointed, as tickets for this game are selling for a premium on the secondary market on places like StubHub. You can get cheap seats (and I use the term “cheap” loosely) for under $110 a ticket last I checked (see link above).
Buy Ravens v. Lions tickets 12/13
The lowly Lions travel to Baltimore for a game against the Ravens on December 13. As bad as I feel for anyone forced to put on the Lions’ silver and blue, at least I know they’re happy to be able to leave the city of Detroit, if only for a week. Oh, and they’ll also get their butts kicked by the Ravens during that week. It’s still better than being in Detroit. Tickets for this game are going to be among the most affordable you’ll find all year for a Ravens home game, with some of the cheaper seats selling for less than $75 on places like StubHub (see link above). That’s a good deal for what should be a guaranteed Ravens victory.
Buy tickets for the Ravens Sunday night game against the Steelers
The rival Steelers will come to Baltimore on November 29. This will be the only Ravens home game that does not start at 1:00pm this season. This game is the Sunday night game and will be nationally televised. Tickets for this game have been hot since early summer and are going for a premium on the resale market. I’m seeing nosebleed seats selling for $120/ticket and the best seats at M&T selling for up to $10,000. This game promises to be one of the biggest of the Ravens’ season.
Buy Ravens vs. Colts tickets
Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts come into town on the 22nd of November. As with any game against the Colts, there is a premium on tickets being sold on the secondary market for this game. You can usually find the cheapseat tickets for $95 or less, but the lowest I’ve been able to find for this game are $115. The prices on the luxury seats and those around the 50-yard line are about the same as they normally would be.
Buy Ravens/Broncos tickets HERE – 11/1/09
The Broncos make their annual visit to M&T Bank Stadium on November 1. This will be the Ravens first home game in 3 weeks, so you can bet there will be plenty of fans clamoring for tickets after going through Ravens-withdrawal. The cheapest tickets I’ve found for this game are in the $90 range from the link above, but there are also premium seats available ranging all the way up to the $3000 range. For that price I think I’d rather have Orioles season tickets.
The Ravens loss to the Patriots on Sunday dropped them 6 spots all the way down to #7 in ESPN’s weekly power rankings. I think they’ll rebound quickly, as the Patriots are clearly once again one of the premiere teams in football and the Ravens really should have had that win. One dropped pass and a flurry of terrible penalty flags that were a clear effort to protect the league’s poster boy Tom Brady were really what brought the Ravens down on Sunday. Don’t expect the same result come playoff time. The NFL knows those penalties were wrong, which is why none of the Ravens that spoke out about them after the game will be receiving fines. The quieter this situation is, the better for the NFL. They really don’t want every talking head on TV to go and examine the films from that game and actually see what the Ravens are complaining about.
This is not a repeat from last week. The Baltimore Ravens are still considered the best team in football. They have a great defense (as always) and they are scoring an average of 34 points per game. Really the only team that can come close to the Ravens right now are the Colts, and they played poorly enough in week 1 to give many doubts about their ability to stretch a 3-0 start into a 12+ season. The Ravens, on the other hand, have been dominating.
For the first time a long time, the Ravens are ranked #1 in ESPN.com’s power rankings. The 2-0 Ravens are one of 9 NFL teams that remain undefeated going into week 3. So far, the usually defense-heavy Ravens have looked balanced on offense and defense.
Buy tickets for the Ravens Oct 11 game against the Bengals
Chad Ochocincoretardo and the Bengals stroll into town for a game against the Ravens on October 11. As with all but one Ravens home game this season, this game has a Sunday 1:00pm start time (we get a Sunday night game in late November). Tickets for this game are actually selling for lower than normal price on the secondary market. I’ve found some for under $90, which is rare for cheap-seat Ravens tickets. The 50-yard line seats and luxury seats are also still available if you’re trying to get in some politico’s pocket or just trying to impress your mistress.
Ravens v. Browns tickets 9/27
The Cleveland Browns roll into town to take their annual beating at the hands of the Ravens on September 27. This is a Sunday game with the usual 1:00pm start time. Tickets at the always-expensive M&T Bank Stadium for this game are running around $90 on the secondary market on the low-end, and $3000 for the luxury box seats and other super-premium tix. Ravens tickets always seem expensive, but you can still get your entire large Ravens-loving family into the stadium for under $1,000, and you’ll have a lot more fun than riding in the teacups at Disney World.
