Ravens Loss Drops Them To 7 Spot In Power Rankings

The Ravens loss to the Patriots on Sunday dropped them 6 spots all the way down to #7 in ESPN’s weekly power rankings. I think they’ll rebound quickly, as the Patriots are clearly once again one of the premiere teams in football and the Ravens really should have had that win. One dropped pass and a flurry of terrible penalty flags that were a clear effort to protect the league’s poster boy Tom Brady were really what brought the Ravens down on Sunday. Don’t expect the same result come playoff time. The NFL knows those penalties were wrong, which is why none of the Ravens that spoke out about them after the game will be receiving fines. The quieter this situation is, the better for the NFL. They really don’t want every talking head on TV to go and examine the films from that game and actually see what the Ravens are complaining about.
