| Renoir
was a French painter. Born in 1841, he helped Monet found the
Impressionist movement. He painted several thousand pieces in
his lifetime. Before his death in 1919 he had the change to visit
the Louvre and see his paintings hanging next to some of the greatest
masterpieces of all-time. One of his paintings recently sold for
nearly $80 million. |
