| Born
in 1452, da Vinci was a true Renaissance man. The Italian was
not only a great painter, but a revolutionary architect, musician,
inventor, engineer, and sculptor. He was a vegetarian and it has
been generally accepted that he was homosexual. His most famous
works include The Last Supper and of course The Mona
Lisa. Only 17 of his paintings have survived, and all of
his statues are gone. His conceptual inventions have been studied
thoroughly, and it has been found that many were hundreds of years
before their time. |
