Andy Warhol
| Biography |
| Born
in Pittsburgh in 1928, Andy Warhol led the Pop Art movement of
the 1960's. He made paintings of various American icons, from
Campbell's Soup and Coca-Cola to Marilyn Monroe. He also experimented
with avant guard movies. He was nearly killed by a woman who worked
in his studio, called The Factory, in 1968. He died following
routine gall bladder surgery in 1987. |
