The Diamondbacks ended the Padres 10 game winning streak last night, but there are more challenges ahead. Tonight they have to face Padres ace Jake Peavy, who has rebounded from a rough start this season and won his last 3 decisions. His eyesight is also so impaired that he couldn’t read the number on the back of the batter’s jersey without his contacts in. Heck, he’d have trouble identifying which batters box the batter was standing in. That’s got to be intimidating when he’s throwing hard baseballs in your general direction at 90 mph.

The DBacks have Billy Buckner starting for them. Buckner pitched on May 22 and gave up just 1 ER in 7 innings.
