Cardinals vs. Packers Tickets – January 3

Tuesday 8 December 2009 @ 1:22 pm

Cardinals v. Green Bay Packers tickets 1/3/10

The Cardinals start the new year with the end of the regular season at University of Phoenix Stadium. They’ll play host to the Green Bay Packers in the non-divisional conference game. There’s slightly more interest than usual for tickets on the secondary market, but there are still lots of tickets available. You can end the regular season in style for $500/ticket, or you can drink a cold one and enjoy the crowd in the nosebleeds for $15/ticket.

Cardinals vs. Rams Tickets – December 27

Tuesday 1 December 2009 @ 1:16 pm

Cards v. Rams 12/27/09 tickets

The Cardinals host the St. Louis Rams on December 27 in their second-to-last home game of the season. The start time for this game is scheduled for 2:05pm, not the usual 2:15pm. Just thought I’d not that so nobody misses the kickoff. Plenty of tickets are still available online through secondary sources like StubHub or eBay. The price range I’m seeing right now goes from $10 for the nosebleeds up to $1000 a ticket for the champagne and wipe-my-bottom treatment. I guess it all depends on whether or not you’re going on the company dime.

Cards vs. Minnesota Vikings tickets – 12/6/09

The Cardinals play host to the Minnesota Vikings to open the month of December. Tickets for this game on the secondary market seem to be hovering around the usual price range, which for the majority of tickets is between $10 – $100. If you’re on the company dime or really trying to impress some friends there are some luxury seats still available ranging all the way up to $1000 a ticket.

Cardinals vs. Seahawks Tickets 11/15/09

Friday 23 October 2009 @ 1:02 pm

Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks tickets – November 15

The Cardinals host the Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium on November 15. The game will be played at the usual 2:15pm starting time. Thousands of tickets are still available on the resale market online at reasonable prices, including plenty for under $20 (among the cheapest in the NFL). If you’re looking for something better than the nosebleeds, luxury box seats and 50-yard line tickets are also still available for a premium.

The Cardinals play host to the Panthers to open the month of November. Remember that with DSL this game will now start at 2:15pm local time. Tickets are still plentiful on the resale market in all price ranges, from the $15 or less cheap seats to the uber-luxury $1000/ticket 50-yard-line seats in the private box. Get your tickets early before the game-week rush.

Cardinals vs. Texans Tickets – October 11

Tuesday 15 September 2009 @ 12:48 pm

Cardinals v. Texans tickets – 10/11/09

The Cardinals must be one of the only teams in the league that only has back-to-back home games in consecutive weeks once during the entire 2009-10 season, and they come at the very end of the year. Just an interesting note. The Cards will be back in University of Phoenix Stadium on October 11 to square off against the Houston Texans. If you’re planning on going but didn’t buy tickets long ago there shouldn’t be much of a problem buying them off the resell market online. I’m seeing prices hovering around retail for the cheap seats (that’s under $20, what a deal!) and you can really pamper yourself and your friends with the nice seats/luxury boxes for a few hundred bucks a ticket, also very available on the secondary market.

Cardinals vs. Colts Tickets – September 27

Tuesday 1 September 2009 @ 12:42 pm

Cardinals v. Colts tickets 9/27/09

The Cardinals return home to play a non-conference game against the Indianapolis Colts on September 27. This will be a Sunday night game, starting at 5:20 pm local time. Tickets for this game are actually in a little more demand than for the Cards season opener. Must be there are a lot of retired Colts fans basking in the hot Arizona sun this time of year. Still, you can find cheap seats for under $20 and the luxury seats are still out there on the resale market if you really want to treat your friends & family to an amazing football experience.

Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers Tickets 9/13/09

Saturday 22 August 2009 @ 12:35 pm

Cardinals v. 49ers September 13 tickets

The Cardinals kick off their season at home at University of Phoenix Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers on September 13. I’ve found plenty of tickets for this game available on the resale market online. As with all Cardinals games, the cheapest seats are among the lowest priced in the NFL, with some selling for under $15. If you’re looking for really good seats, there are plenty of them available as well. That came as a surprise to me, considering the Cardinals are the defending NFC champions. The Cardinals will not play the 49ers again until they meet at San Francisco in mid-December.

Cardinals Lose Controversial Super Bowl

Monday 2 February 2009 @ 3:03 pm

The Cardinals should be proud of what they accomplished this season, but at the same time they have reason to be upset at how it ended. The Super Bowl last night was one of the most exciting ever, but it was also not without controversy. I think anyone who watched it, including Steelers fans, noticed the calls from the officials seemed to be going the Steelers way time and again.

In a key play that ended the first half, an interception returned for a touchdown by the Steelers included some of the most obvious holds I’ve ever seen. I’m talking about Cardinals players being brought down with behind-the-back-headlocks right in front of the official.

The end of the game also had some controversy. Kurt Warner was hit as he threw, but his arm appeared to be going forward with the ball (not an “empty” hand, as the rulebook requires for a fumble). As there were less than 2 minutes left in the game, there should have been an automatic booth review and the call on the field, which was a fumble, should have been overturned. This seemed obvious. Even John Madden and Al Michaels acknowledged that the play was going to be reviewed and likely overturned. Instead, less than a minute after the play, the Steelers offense lined up on the field and downed the ball for the final play. Michaels noted just before the snap that the previous play had been reviewed and the ruling on the field would stand, but how? They literally would have had less than a minute to review the play, and what would they have seen that the other 200 million people watching the game didn’t?

To add more salt on the Cardinals wounds, there was a personal foul penalty on the Steelers after the controversial fumble when a player took off his helmet to celebrate. That would have advanced the Cardinals attempted comeback drive by 15 yards and given them a first down, so they would have had time for 3 or 4 plays from the Steelers 29 yard line, which would hardly make it a hail mary situation.

The way this game managed to end with Madden and Michaels both ignoring the controversy makes me wonder if something was going on that the rest of us didn’t know about. The previous Steelers Super Bowl victory, over the Seahawks 3 years ago, was at the time recognized as the most controversial Super Bowl in history.

SI Prediction: Cardinals Take LeSean McCoy in 1st Round

Friday 30 January 2009 @ 1:16 pm

The Sports Illustrated mock draft can tell us a lot of things. First off, it can tell us that Sports Illustrated is predicting the Steelers will win the Super Bowl. SI is giving the #31 pick in the draft to the Cardinals, with which they will select LeSean McCoy, a running back out of Pitt. This would make sense, as Edgerrin James is leaving and Tim Hightower is not the guy you want in there for every down. McCoy is fast but small, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing for a runner. He has ample size for his height at 210 pounds, which when combined with his sub-4.5 second 40 time will make for a hard to catch-and-bring-down running back.
